Decals Guide helps people in Australia get stickers, decals, labels and signs right. We publish guides to vehicle decals, including applying vinyl, removing old decals, car window sticker rules and boat registration lettering; to stickers and labels, including materials, design, home printing and food and product labelling; and to signs and banners, including materials, banner design, window and wall graphics and council approvals. Our sticker sheet planner works out how many stickers fit on a sheet from the sizes you enter.
Why we exist
Advice about stickers and signs is often scattered across sellers' websites and forums, and the rules that apply, from road rules to planning codes, can be hard to find. We want to give DIYers, small businesses and volunteers a clear, neutral starting point.
How we work
We write every guide in our own words. For rules and regulations we rely on official sources, such as state legislation and government agencies, Food Standards Australia New Zealand, the ACCC, IP Australia, Safe Work Australia and ARPANSA, and we list our sources on each page. We never invent statistics, prices, quotes or testimonials. Where rules differ between states, we say so and point you to the regulator.
Independence
Decals Guide (decals.com.au) is an independent information site. We are not a printer, sign maker, sticker shop or government agency. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any brand, business or agency named on this site, any previous operator of this domain, or any business with a similar name. Brand names appear in image captions only where they're visible in photos.
General information only
Our guides are general information, not legal advice. Check the rules that apply to you, follow product instructions and safety data sheets, and use licensed professionals where required.
